Gateway To Texas Pro-Am Charity Golf Classic Teeing off October 6th, 2008

GTT Pro-Am getting into full swing

Wichita Falls, TX, May 5, 2008 – The Board of Directors of the Gateway to Texas Pro-Am Charity Golf Classic announces October 6th as the date for the 2008 tournament. In it’s second year, the GTT Pro-Am is a benefit event for Child Advocates and First Step.

Slated to be held at Wind Creek Golf Course on Shepard Air Force Base, the event will pair 3 amateur players with a PGA Golf Professional. The teams will compete in a Shamble style tournament. “Everyone really enjoyed this format last year,” said Oscar Jackson, Vice President of the Gateway Board of Directors. “We are looking forward to another fantastic tournament this year and another opportunity to raise money for these two great organizations.”

Entry fee for an individual is $250 and space is limited to 25 teams. Registration is available online at www.gatewaytotexasgolf.org. Registration forms are also available at Jerry’s Scoreboard, Child Advocates and First Step offices. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.

In 2007 this event raised just under $10,000 for Child Advocates and First Step. Gateway to Texas is a non-profit organization formed by community members looking for ways to help local organizations improve the lives of families in the area.
